HeartOn

Privacy Policy

What HeartOn collects, why, and how you stay in control of it.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Who we are

HeartOn is a mobile app for couples, run from India by its founder, Anil Kumar. In this policy “HeartOn”, “we” and “us” mean the HeartOn app, this website and the people who run them. Questions about privacy go to hearton1.in@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your sign-in details. Depending on how you sign in: your mobile number; or your Google account’s name and email address; or, if you choose Truecaller, the name, mobile number and (if you allow it) email address on your Truecaller profile.
  • What you tell us during setup. Your first name, your relationship stage, whether you live together or long distance, and your time zone.
  • How you use the cards. Which cards you reveal, complete or skip, when, and how you said an activity felt.
  • Your memories. Notes and photos you choose to save. They are private to your account and are never shown to anyone else.
  • Purchases. If you buy Premium, the store tells us the product, the order ID and whether the purchase is active. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card or bank details.
  • Notifications. A push-notification token for your device, and whether you want reminders.
  • Basic usage events, such as opening the app or viewing the Premium screen, so we can understand what works and fix what doesn’t.

We do not need anything from your partner, and we do not ask for your contacts, your location, or details about your partner. HeartOn has no ads, and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To choose cards that suit your relationship stage and living situation.
  • To keep your card history and memories.
  • To check and restore Premium purchases.
  • To send the reminders you have turned on.
  • To keep the service working, prevent abuse, and improve it.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, who handle data only to run HeartOn for us:

  • Google Firebase, for sign-in and account security.
  • Truecaller, only if you choose to sign in with it.
  • MongoDB Atlas, where your account data, cards and memories are stored.
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store, for purchases.
  • Expo, to deliver push notifications.
  • Our hosting providers, which run the HeartOn servers and this website.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, card history, memories (including photos), purchase records, notifications and usage events, and your sign-in account. Copies in routine backups expire on their normal schedule.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. You can also email us from the address you signed in with and we will do it for you.
  • Change your name, relationship stage or living situation in your profile at any time.
  • Turn reminders off in the app or in your phone’s settings.
  • Ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hearton1.in@gmail.com.

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, write to Anil Kumar at hearton1.in@gmail.com. We will reply as soon as we can.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections, memories are only ever served to the account that saved them, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and sign-in accounts protected too.

Age

HeartOn is meant for adults in a relationship. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
